Fabric sleeves are a wide range of products for various applications. We manufacture wind direction indicating sleeves (windsocks) as well as air supply sleeves that form part of industrial air conditioning systems.
Windsocks
Windsocks are used to indicate wind direction. They form an indispensable piece of equipment at airfields, hospitals and food industry establishments. Thanks to suitable design and colouring they allow to quickly define the wind direction and force. Sleeves are manufactured in several sizes, customised for specific needs. The windsock colour is selected so that the sleeve is clearly visible. It is preferable to make single-colour sleeves as orange or white. If, for some reason, two-colour sleeves are preferred, then orange-and-white, red-and-white or black-and-white should be used. The colours can be arranged in five bands, with the first and the last one being darker, or in chequerboard pattern.
Air supply sleeves
Fabric air supply sleeves are used in air ducting systems for production and technology halls in food industry establishments (i. e. meat, fruit-and-vegetable, frozen food etc.). They are easy to fit and maintain, and the materials used in their design stop microbe development.
Moreover, our design solutions and materials are fully accepted by the Polish sanitary and veterinary services, as well as both the EU and US inspectors.
We offer an excellent solution to the problem of production and technology hall ventilation, in form of fabric sleeve systems. Sanitary regulations in force for meat processing plants allow metal air ducting only in stainless make (without paint finish), with the possibility to check and clean both outer and inner surface of the ducting.
Depending on the needs of the customer a ventilation system is designed which is customised to the needs of the halls and production processes. The air supply system consists of a cooler with a ventilator, collector (optional) and distributing sleeves suspended on lines under the ceiling of the hall. The air is blown into the sleeves and enters the hall by flowing through the envelope. This way the air of proper temperature is supplied to direct vicinity of workstations. Low air flow velocity through the envelope eliminates draughts, and the envelope acts as a filter. Moreover, fabric sleeves work very good even at periodical high humidity, for example when cleaning the production halls, with mist or haze in the entire volume.
Sleeves are made of 100% polyester fabric that stops microbe development. They have the form of long cigar with circular cross-section. Stretching rings are fitted inside and suspension elements outside, at fixed intervals. The rings are attached with a re-usable connection, allowing assembly and disassembly for washing of the sleeve or collector. Long sleeves are divided into several parts, connected with sealed zippers.
Collectors made of zero porosity fabric are used for air distribution from the cooler to several sleeves. The fabric is the same as in the sleeves, but with an additional sealing layer. This allows the same maintenance of collectors as in the case of sleeves.
The main advantage of fabric sleeves is the ease of maintenance of the air supply system. When necessary the sleeves can be disassembled without a problem by unzipping the connecting zippers and taking off the suspension line. Collectors and sleeves from the offered material can be washed in laundries at temperatures of 50-60 oC and using standard washing detergents. Washing time is ca 15 min., depending on the degree of soiling.
Periodical washing of distribution sleeves and collectors from wet floor halls (for example in meat, poultry etc. establishments) can be done once a year, unless the sanitary inspection suggests to do it more frequently. For halls with dusty floor or dusty production the washing interval has to be adjusted to the permissible degree of dustiness of the material.
